Author Spotlight: Stacie Webb Breaking the Chain, One Honest Page at a Time

Some books are written to be published. Others are written because they have to exist.

For Stacie WebbBreaking the Chain came from a deeply personal place. Not from theory, or a single breakthrough moment. But from years of searching, healing, questioning, and realizing that no single resource had ever gathered all the answers she needed in one place.

So she wrote the book she was looking for.

Writing as Healing

Stacie has been writing for nearly fifteen years, but this book was different. It grew directly out of her own healing journey. As she moved through countless resources over the years, she noticed something missing. Pieces of insight were scattered everywhere, but nothing addressed the whole picture in a way that felt manageable or compassionate.

Rather than writing from a place of authority, she wrote alongside her own process. Many chapters were born from questions she was actively asking herself in real time. Writing became a way to understand, to digest, and to move forward, without being overwhelmed.

That intention shaped the structure of the book itself. Written in a workbook style, each chapter invites readers to pause, reflect, and process in smaller, more supportive pieces. Healing does not demand speed. It asks for honesty.

A Late Night That Says Everything

Here is one image Stacie shared that captures the spirit of this book perfectly.

It was around 2:00 a.m. She was writing late into the night when Ducky, the newest member of her pack of four Chihuahuas, climbed into her lap, rested his head on the table, and fell asleep. Tired. Trusting. At home.

She took the photo because it felt real. Because that’s what this book was written in the middle of. Quiet persistence. Companionship. The long hours no one sees.

It’s not a polished author photo. It’s better than that. It is the truth.

What the Journey Taught Her

When asked what her writing journey has taught her, Stacie’s answer is simple and profound.

It has taught me that I matter.  It has taught me that I have a voice and it’s ok to speak up. It’s taught me that setting boundaries is positive in my personal life.

Writing this book helped her claim space, not just as an author, but as a person learning to speak up without guilt.

She remembers telling herself in middle school that someday she would break the chain. Years later, she did exactly that, one chapter at a time.

Why This Book Exists

Breaking the Chain was written for people who feel alone navigating toxic family dynamics. For readers who have searched for answers across dozens of resources and still felt unseen. For those who need permission to choose healing without shame.

Stacie wanted readers to know they are not alone. That there are options. That support exists. And that reclaiming your life doesn’t require abandoning compassion.

She hopes readers feel seen and supported. Nothing more. Nothing less.
