The Sleep-Walkers’ Market
by Carrie Ray
Maya must close a “dream market” before her friends trade away their talents for sleep.
ABOUT THE BOOK
In a town where nobody remembers their dreams, 13-year-old Maya discovers she is a “Lucid.” While everyone else is asleep, Maya can enter a physical night-market that only exists between 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM. In this market, people unknowingly trade their “talents” for a good night’s rest. Maya realizes her classmates are trading away their piano skills or athletic abilities for sleep, and the “Merchants” are harvesting them. She must find a way to close the market before her friends wake up as empty shells.
