The Night Between Stars

by Jay W. Farley

Vampire wizards versus a corporate dystopia in space

ABOUT THE BOOK

The Night Between Stars is the story of a humanity that went to the stars. They conquered FTL, defeated inertia, and control gravity. Their technology grows further and further every day as the corporations that control space grow and expand.

But humanity did not go alone. The monsters and legends of old Earth went alongside them. The hidden wars of monsters, wizards, and wonders move through the space stations and terraformed planets of the year 2453. They battle in secret, controlling the corporations from behind the scenes as they try and amass more power.

Stephen Halder is one of those monsters. A vampire born on Earth in the year 2453, his work saw his family grow rich and powerful before they ever took to the stars. Now, they own their own planet and hide their hungry nature behind corporate interests.

Returning from a mystical mission for his undead overlord, Stephen finds a world that has changed. He is hunted by shadowy figures, betrayed by closest allies, and ready to fight back. His only friends are a sentient spaceship, a brand-new apprentice, and a pirate captain who was the victim of a recent mutiny. With them, Stephen must find out who is after him before they manage to catch them all.
